Christmas Day – Amazing Peace

A classmate shared this beautiful poem by Maya Angelou with me – I have paired it with Dave Grusin’s great rendition of the Alfred Burt carol “Some Children See Him.”

A blessed and peaceful Christmas to you.

Advent I – Among the poor

Each Sunday in Advent this year, I’ll be posting a video of poetry and music – a quiet devotion of four to five minutes as a way to help us watch and wait for God-in-Christ breaking into our world.

This first week I am using a beautiful litany called “Among the poor” from the book Cloth for the Cradle, published by the Wild Goose Worship Group of the Iona Community in Scotland.  I’ll be sharing a few more pieces from that book as well as other material.  Click on the Full Screen icon in the lower right-hand corner of the video player if you’d like to view a larger image.  You can also view the video on YouTube at .

In this very busy and frenetic time of year, I invite you to take a few minutes to dwell in the presence of the Divine.  May you be blessed with peace.
