Advent IV/And did it happen?

The fourth in the series of Advent meditations.  This one asks the wondering questions about what on the surface is a non-event – but that is exactly where “the world is about to turn.”  (Canticle of the Turning, Rory Cooney.)

Blessings on your week as we prepare to celebrate God Incarnate.

Advent I – Among the poor

Each Sunday in Advent this year, I’ll be posting a video of poetry and music – a quiet devotion of four to five minutes as a way to help us watch and wait for God-in-Christ breaking into our world.

This first week I am using a beautiful litany called “Among the poor” from the book Cloth for the Cradle, published by the Wild Goose Worship Group of the Iona Community in Scotland.  I’ll be sharing a few more pieces from that book as well as other material.  Click on the Full Screen icon in the lower right-hand corner of the video player if you’d like to view a larger image.  You can also view the video on YouTube at .

In this very busy and frenetic time of year, I invite you to take a few minutes to dwell in the presence of the Divine.  May you be blessed with peace.
